Twitch streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter’s anticipated cameo in A Minecraft Movie was notably absent when the film released on April 4, 2025, sparking speculation about what led to her being cut. She has now addressed her exclusion.

Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, one of the most recognized women in the gaming space, confirmed that her scene was cut from the newly released “A Minecraft Movie” — six months after she coincidentally spoke out against the film’s star Jason Mamoa’s alleged on-set behavior.

“I would much rather not have that 30 seconds than be sued, so it’s all good,” Hofstetter confirmed in a recent Twitch stream. “It really was a wonderful 10 days in New Zealand for that 30 seconds and I’m really glad I got to visit New Zealand. I feel like things could’ve been so much worse.”

In September, Hofstetter openly accused Momoa of creating a poor work environment and behaving badly during the filming of the movie.

During a podcast appearance with YouTuber JasonTheWeen, Hofstetter was asked to share her “worst celebrity or streamer experience.”

Hofstetter went into detail when the host asked her to describe her experience with the “Aquaman” star.

“He was just really mad at them that they weren’t doing something right,” Hofstetter shared. “It was like setting up the shot and stuff. It was just angry. Like really mad and like yelling.

“I was like ‘Man this is like not a good environment, Iike, I would not be happy working under these conditions,'” the content creator added.

The movie, inspired by the popular game, debuted on April 4 and featured stars like Jack Black and Jennifer Coolidge, in addition to Momoa.

Momoa plays Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison in the gaming film, which has scored $157 million at the box office during its opening weekend in the US and Canada
