Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive has assured investors that GTA VI is still on track to release in fall 2025. The update was shared during the company’s latest earnings call.
“Looking ahead, we expect fiscal 2026 to be a milestone year as we plan to release several blockbuster titles, including Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto VI in fall of 2025, Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country,” Take-Two President Karl Slatoff said on the call.
GTA V was released in 2013 and has sold over 200 million copies throughout the past decade. Fans, understandably, are eager for the next installment in the franchise. Rockstar had confirmed GTA VI in early 2022. Later that year, footage from the game was leaked. It wasn’t until December 2023, however, that the company officially unveiled a trailer for the new title.
