Microsoft has officially announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is coming to Xbox Game Pass on July 24.
“Featuring a high-octane single player campaign, energetic multiplayer and the series’ first open world Zombies experience, this game offers something for every type of CoD player,” the announcement reads. “Grab your controllers, get your Xbox app updated on PC…”
The news comes after Insider Gaming first reported that the game was set to come to the service this month. Rumors of the July 24 date began circulating shortly thereafter.
Modern Warfare 3 becomes the first Call of Duty game to be officially available on Xbox Game Pass after Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard. It precedes the launch of Black Ops 6, which will be the first new Call of Duty title to be available day one on the service.
Recently, Microsoft announced major changes to its pricing and tier structure to the service. It’s also considering even more tier changes for the future.
If you want to play the game as a new subscriber, you’ll need either the Game Pass PC, Standard, or Ultimate plan.
