Jordan Peele's latest venture into producing genre-bending horror, “HIM,” is set for release on September 19, 2025. The film delves into the dark underbelly of fame and ambition within the high-stakes world of professional football.

The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into this narrative, showcasing the eerie isolation of a legendary quarterback's compound and the unsettling dynamics between mentor and protégé. Marlon Wayans stars as the aging QB1, with Tyriq Withers portraying the promising young athlete drawn into this enigmatic world.
Directed by Justin Tipping, “HIM” is based on a Black List screenplay by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie. The film's premise centers on a rising football star invited to train at the secluded compound of a dynasty team's legendary quarterback. What begins as an opportunity for mentorship soon spirals into a psychological horror, exploring themes of power, sacrifice, and the relentless pursuit of greatness.
The ensemble cast includes Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, and hip-hop artists Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack, both making their feature film debuts. Produced by Peele's Monkeypaw Productions, “HIM,” the film could be titled “Any Given Satan.” I’m officially intrigued. Add in Wayans, an underrated dramatic performer, and we could be in for something very unique here.
