Disney and Marvel have announced the official premiere date of the highly-anticipated Daredevil: Born Again series.
The show is set to make its Disney+ premiere on March 4, 2025 and was confirmed during the “Marvel Fanfare With CB Cebulski” panel at New York Comic Con over the weekend. Born Again will see the return of Charlie Cox as lawyer/superhero Matt Murdock/Daredevil: “Matt Murdock (Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.”
Also reprising their roles from the previous Daredevil Netflix series are Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Wilson Bethel as Poindexter. Joining the original cast are Michael Gandolfini (son of the late James Gandolfini), Margarita Levieva, Jeremy Earl and Ayelet Zurer.
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of TV and Streaming, previously called the series “incredible,” adding, “It’s similar in some ways to X-Men ’97, because it’s reviving something that the fans love, but it is taking it in a new direction. These characters have matured. The universe is different than it was. Things have changed. Society’s changed.” He continued, “Matt and Wilson have changed, and their characters are gonna collide in ways we’ve never seen before. It’s no longer enough to try and murder each other. There’s a whole game of politics at play.”
