The best C9 loadout in the Black Ops 6 beta is one of two SMGs you can get your hands on, and while it may not impress immediately out of the gate, as soon as it’s leveled up and given some solid attachments, it becomes a force to be reckoned with.
It fires slower than the Jackal PDW (the other SMG available in the beta) but this means it’s slightly better suited to mid-range engagements, while also still packing enough of a punch to handle things up close.
We’ve got the best C9 attachments you need to equip to do exactly this, but one thing to bear in mind is that we haven’t included attachments that require leveling up the C9 fully because after all, this is the beta, and time is limited.
Here’s the best C9 loadout in the Black Ops 6 beta, along with how to unlock it and the best class to use alongside it.
As the first SMG you can get your hands on, as soon as you unlock custom loadouts at level four, you’ll have the C9 at your disposal, the same as the XM4. Whack it on a loadout and start leveling it up!

The C9 in Black Ops 6
Here is the best C9 loadout in the Black Ops 6 beta:
Optic: Redwell Reflex
Barrel: Long Barrel
Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
Stock: Combat Stock
As always with an optical sight, it’s largely down to personal preference, but since we want the C9 to be effective at mid-long range, opting for something with a little more zoom than the mini sights is smart. The Redwell Reflex is unlocked early on, but if you level up the C9 towards the max level, you may find something more effective.
Onto the bulk of this loadout now and we’ve opted for the Long Barrel over the Gain-Twist because while the latter may seem good with the bullet velocity buff, you won’t be fighting at ranges where that really matters with this gun. Instead, you can increase the damage range with the Long Barrel. Using the Vertical Foregrip helps even more at range by managing your horizontal recoil.
The Quickdraw Grip is also unlocked early on and improves your ADS (aim down sight) speed, which is essential when you do get into CQC (close quarters combat). Finally, we have the Combat Stock, which buffs both your aim walking movement speed and flinch resistance, the latter of which is very useful in mid-long range engagements.
If you are leveling the C9 up to its max level, the Ported Compensator or Muzzle Brake will be worth equipping, as will the Reinforced Barrel over the Long Barrel, to make it even more powerful at distance.
Best C9 class in Black Ops 6
Here is the best class to use alongside the C9 in the Black Ops 6 beta:
Secondary: GS45
Melee: Knife
Tactical: Flashbang
Lethal: Semtex
Field Upgrade: Trophy System
Perk 1: Ghost
Perk 2: Tracker
Perk 3: Vigilance
Specialty: Perk Greed
Perk Greed: Flak Jacket
Since the Black Ops 6 beta has limited options compared to what will be available in the full launch, there isn’t room for too much creativity with the rest of the class. Opt for either of the two pistols - I’ve found the GS45 to be slightly better - plus the Knife as your only melee choice. As you’re running with an SMG, the Flashbang / Semtex combo is more effective than the Concussion / Frag, because the flashbang detonates sooner and the semtex doesn’t require cooking. The Trophy System is also a no-brainer when it comes to the Field Upgrade because of how many grenades there are in the current meta.
When it comes to the perks, we want to take full advantage of the specialty system which rewards you with an extra passive buff if you equip three perks of the same color. In this instance, we’ve gone for three blue perks. Ghost hides you from enemy UAVs and radar pings, Tracker lets you see enemy footsteps and ADSing on an enemy pings them for your allies, while Vigilance displays a HUD icon whenever you appear on enemy minimaps, and it makes you immune to Counter UAVs (and some more things that aren’t in the game yet).
All of this combines to grant you with the Recon combat specialty, which allows you to see enemies through walls for a second or two after you respawn, you leave no death skulls when killing enemies, and there’s a flash on the edge of your HUD if an enemy is outside of your view. The first of these bonuses is the biggest buff, as seeing enemies through walls is tremendously helpful on smaller maps where there’s likely to be foes around you as soon as you spawn.
For your wildcard, choose Perk Greed, because that grants you an extra perk. We’ve opted for Flak Jacket, as it helps you survive explosive damage on the occasions your Trophy System is unavailable.
